Kendall is a census-designated place and an unincorporated suburban community in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on the edge of the Florida Everglades. The community was named after Maj. Kendall, an executive of the British Land Company that had surveyed and mapped many areas of Florida. As of the 2000 census, the area had a total population of 75,226. Kendall is home to one of Miami's general aviation airports, the Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport. Some of her most famous residents include long-term resident Janet Reno, former U.S. Attorney General, whose parents built her home by hand; in addition, O.J.
