Summerlin South, also seen on maps as South Summerlin, is an unincorporated township and census designated place, in Clark County, Nevada, United States, on the western edge of Las Vegas and adjacent to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It is so named because it is a southward extension of the master-planned community of Summerlin. As of the 2000 census, the township's population was 3,735. The Clark County Comprehensive Planning Department estimate placed the population at 22,129 as of July 1, 2006.
